Several Austrian men's counselling centres have been jointly operating the crisis hotline Männerinfo since 2020, originally coordinated without subsidy by the Men's Counselling Centre Vienna under the telephone number 0720/704400.
Since July 2021, the responsibility for the organisation and coordination lies with the Männerberatung Steiermark/Südburgenland (Association for Men's and Gender Issues Styria).
Since 1 September 2021, thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Social Affairs, we have been able to operate our free crisis line (0800/400777) on call 24/7.
The participating men's counselling centres are Männerberatung Wien, Männerwelten, Männerbüro and the Institute for Men's Health from Salzburg, Mannsbilder from Tyrol, Man(n)agement Carinthia, the Caritas Men's Counselling Centres from Lower Austria and Carinthia, the Linz Men's Counselling Centre in the Pichling Family Centre and the Institute for Social Services Vorarlberg.
